Goals and ObjectivesDuring the first year as a school counselor it would be imparative to actively participate in the campus leadership team, campus improvement team, campus educational improvement committee, and student/parent organizations in an effort to develop a comprehensive understanding of the areas of concentration for which I am serving. The collection of stakeholder information, campus demographics, student and staff interest, and district objectives will be factored into the development of a comprehensive school counseling program. It is essential to gather this type of feedback as a program needs to cater to the individuals of which is it serving; a program is not merely developed on statistics, numbers, and paper-based assessments, it is to be developed and implemented for the benefit of the people it was created for.
