My Reflections on Working with Small Groups: Within my own classes this semester I have taken on the responsibility of working with small groups. My Reflection on my Internship Program: The activity offerings from the campus that I have served my internship has proven to be aligned to meet the needs of the students, campus, and school district. Students have reported growth via the surveys provided to them (both pre and post). The campus data reflects a decrease in discipline issues, increase in academic performance and increase in student engagement. I have been permitted to create music videos that address lessons and activities provided to students. My mentor and I have created a systematic process that affords us the opportunity to co-present content, engage learners via team building activities, and collect data. Examples of some of the videos can be found on the 'Inspiration and Creation' tab that is located on the sub menu under the 'Foundation' tab. |

After data has been collected and analyzed, it is important to consider how to use the data and how to share it with other stakeholders. Results reports can take on many forms and be disseminated in several ways such as:
Regularly sharing results reports about the impact of the school counseling program with administrators, faculty, and the school community in a document or five to ten minute presentations will likely promote an understanding of the program's endeavors/efforts, increase the value of and promote the respect and indispensability for the work of professional school counselors. When sharing results, it is important to remember that changes in student knowledge, attitudes, skills or behaviors may be the result of numerous factors. School counselors are encouraged to communicate the ways that they are contributing in a meaningful way to the overall academic achievement of students. |
